It began as a humorous conversation about teaching art.
My friend Charles is a huge Trekkie on his way to becoming an art educator. We began joking about how one could teach the basic concepts of art through science fiction imagery, thus creating a fantastic excuse to show kids old science fiction films.
I arrived home with the idea festering in my head, and I sat down to launch a prolonged series of small works
that marry art concepts with whatever science fiction show or film I felt worthy.
